On behalf of myself and the program planning committee, it is with great pride and enthusiasm that we welcome you to the Breast Imaging 1^st Annual Meeting 2025, here in the vibrant and ever-evolving city of Dubai.

This inaugural event marks a pivotal milestone in our shared mission to advance breast imaging and elevate breast health care across the region and beyond. With the theme “Highlighting Current Practice and a New Era in Breast Cancer Screening,” this meeting underscores our collective commitment to both reflecting on established best practices and embracing the transformative innovations shaping the future of early breast cancer detection.

This scientific and educational gathering stands as a premier event in the field of breast imaging, bringing together experts, innovators and practitioners from across the region to discuss current practices, challenges, future directions and emerging technologies in early breast cancer detection. It also serves as a vital platform for meaningful dialogue, networking and the formation of partnerships that will help shape the next chapter in breast cancer screening and management.

We are honored to present three distinguished keynote speakers:

• Dr. Norran Hussain from Egypt

Each will share invaluable insights on breast cancer screening in their respective regions. Additionally, we look forward to a series of engaging talks and panel discussions on the challenges, innovations and future directions led by our esteemed local experts.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

You are invited to submit an abstract for Breast Imaging 1^st Annual Meeting, which will run on Saturday, 25 October 2025 in Dubai–UAE.

To submit an abstract, please read all of the instructions below:
Abstract submission deadline: Monday, 01 September 2025 – 11:59 PM (GST).
Notification on Acceptance/Rejection: Monday, 22 September 2025 – 11:59 PM (GST).
Please note that only electronic submissions through the abstract submission website are accepted.

Language
All abstracts must be submitted in English using the online submission form on the Conference website.

The abstract should focus on topics related to early detection of breast cancer, multimodality approaches such as –

• Mammography (2D, Digital, Tomosynthesis)
• Breast Ultrasound (Handheld, Automated)
• Breast MRI
• Contrast-Enhanced Mammography
• Related interventions
• AI Applications

General conditions

1. Abstracts are required for all e-poster presentations.
2. Abstracts must be submitted by 01 September 2025 – 11:59 PM (GST). Abstracts received after this time will not be accepted for judging.
3. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
4. Withdrawal of abstracts can only be accepted if notified in writing. It is possible to withdraw an abstract 07 days after notification on acceptance.
5. If selected, it is the responsibility of the presenter to bear travel and accommodation expenses.
6. All correspondence relating to scientific abstracts will be undertaken by email with the first named author.
7. Entrants will be advised no later than 22 September 2025, whether their abstracts have been accepted for display as e-poster presentation at the Breast Imaging 1st Annual Meeting.
8. All e-posters will be presented in an electronic format (giant I-tablets) at Breast Imaging 1st Annual Meeting. The winners name will also be published on the conference website.
9. The Breast Imaging logo or crest must not be displayed on or included on the e-poster image. Any e-poster containing the Breast Imaging logo will not be displayed or published.
10. The accepted e-posters must be submitted by Monday, 13 October 2025. Failure to provide an e-poster will result in the abstract not being displayed and therefore withdrawn from the competition.
11. You may be invited to give a five-minute presentation of your poster. If you are chosen to present your e-poster, the poster will be shared via screen share. There is no need to submit an additional presentation.

Presenting Author and Registration

1. Please verify that your email address (submitter and presenting author) is correct, as it will be used for contacting you after the review process.
2. Disclosure: Abstract submitter and presenter are required to disclose any conflict of interest.
3. Ensure that all co-authors approve the abstract submission, publication and potential presentation.
4. At least one of the named authors of an abstract display must be a registered paying delegate for the conference they are submitting their abstract to. Registrants must be registered by Tuesday, 30 September 2025.
5. Abstract submitters must consent to the Policies of Abstract Submission.
6. Scientific committee reserves the right to exclude any abstract from the scientific program that is not followed by a participant registration at the latest 14 days after notification on acceptance.
7. Hotel expenses, travel expenses and registration fee will not be paid or reimbursed to any author accepted for e-poster display

Contents of your abstract

1. Abstracts should be based on scientific research in the area of Breast Imaging.
2. Following are the categories:
     ‣ Scientific
     ‣Case Report or Case Series
     ‣Educational Exhibit
3. Each abstract should be limited to 1500 characters (approximately 250 words) from the `Purpose’ to the ‘Conclusion’ fields inclusive. (Please do not include the title and the author’s information in the text body (names and affiliations), this information will be required in the web form)
4. The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to clearly indicate the nature of the study. Write the abstract title in ‘Capitalize Each Word’. No full stop at the end.
5. The title of the abstract for the e-Poster at the meeting should be the same as the title on the submitted abstract.
6. There are no limitations on the number of abstracts that an individual can submit. However, one individual can only present a maximum of 2 abstract (independent of the format) during the entire congress. If you have more than 2 abstracts accepted, you will be obliged to identify alternate presenters for any abstract above the first two.
7. The scientific abstract must include the following:
     ‣Purpose
     ‣Methods and materials
     ‣Results
     ‣Conclusion
8. Abstract for Educational exhibits and Case reports or series, is acceptable as a paragraph provided not more than 250 words.
9. All abbreviations must be defined in first use.
10. No identifying features such as names of authors, hospitals, medical schools, clinics or cities may be listed in the title. You will be asked to enter the name(s) of author(s) and their institution(s), when you submit the abstract online.
11. Statements such as “results will be discussed” or “data will be presented” cannot be accepted.
12. By submitting an abstract, the authors confirm that the abstract is their own original work, is not defamatory or unlawful and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
13. Submission of material which has previously been submitted and/or presented elsewhere needs to be disclosed and any copyright should not be infringed.
14. No amendments or additions to abstracts or authors can be made once your abstract has been submitted. Please ensure that all information is correct and all authors are listed when submitting.
15. Please note that all submissions are subject to proof reading and editing

Decisions

1. Judges appointed by the Scientific Committee will assess and judge scientific abstracts for e-poster.
2. The decision of the judges is final.
